This off-road wagon joins the likes of the Ford Bronco Sport, Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, Toyota RAV4 Adventure, and many more in the segment’s adventure lifestyle craze. 2024 Mazda CX 50 Redesign

With phony skid plates slapped on the extremities of the bumpers, the vehicle seems to be higher off the ground.
Interior
The black-on-black theme may be toned down with tan accent stitching on the inside of the Mazda CX-9. The low-set dash’s display screen may be operated with a console-based dial and buttons at its disposal. It looks like the same far-off 8.8-inch display as the CX-30, but Mazda has not provided any dimensional details. Mazda claims to be the first automaker to offer a panoramic sunroof as an interior feature.
Engine
Engines with 2.5-liter displacements are not new. A 2.5-liter inline-4 engine with 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque, comparable to the CX-30, will be the standard powerplant. It’s possible to get up to 256 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque from the 2.5-liter turbo-4 in turbo versions using 93 octanes (87 octanes). 6-speed automatic transmission for both engines allows them to stay in the power range longer, but it also makes the interior noisier. The CX-50 has the same front struts and rear torsion beam suspension as previous Mazda crossovers with all-wheel drive.
Because the CX-50 is equipped with more sophisticated traction control, it is better equipped to tackle off-road situations. Sport, Towing, and Off-Road are just some of the modes available via a driving mode toggle in the console that employs torque vectoring to distribute torque from the rear axle to the front wheels as speed increases. For a balance that’s more like what you’d get on a paved road, Mazda believes the link between the two axles helps avoid oversteer or sliding about.
2024 Mazda CX 50 Release Date and Price
The base model of the 2024 Mazda CX-50 Hybrid crossover SUV is $28,025, whereas the 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus costs $42,775. All models come standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, keyless entry, two USB ports, and an 8.8-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. Seat heating and cooling is standard on the Turbo Premium Plus; the 10.3-inch information display, heated rear seats, wireless charging for smartphones, and a head-up display are all included.
