New 2024 Mazda 6 Spy Shots, Specs, Model – The 2024 Mazda 6 is a four-door sedan, the Japanese carmaker’s entry-level sedan. The Camry, Accord, Sonata, and other well-known models will have to make way for it in the sales rankings. Although it’s fantastic in many aspects, the back-seat room and warranty coverage are lacking.
2024 Mazda 6 Redesign
Every model now has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and wireless CarPlay is available on more costly models. A new carbon version with black wheels and unique paint is also available. There is no denying that the Mazda 6 is one of the most beautiful cars on the road, no matter what trim level you pick. Its broad but slender grille and headlamps, gently curved body and tall rear end give it a crisp and sleek look. At the same time, the cockpit is built with basic but attractive lines and adorned with premium materials, especially on the Signature version of the car.
With a 2.5-liter inline-4 making 187 horsepower and a 6-speed automatic mated to it, Mazda’s basic six sedans give slow acceleration and more noise than we’ve come to expect from one of the automaker’s more refined models. If you add a turbocharger, the 227-horsepower 6 becomes even more athletic, delivering powerful power in most conditions that complement the car’s quick handling and solid yet comfortable ride. Without all-wheel drive, the 6 isn’t lacking in features. Front-seat occupants will like the 6’s spaciousness, but back-seat passengers will be disappointed by the 6’s reduced headroom and smaller trunk compared to competitors.
Interior
Despite its attractive design, the Mazda 6’s back seat and trunk are smaller than those of its primary competitors. For its overall comfort and practicality, we give it a score of six, with an extra point given for its front seats. The overall length of 2024 Mazda 6 is 191.5 inches, with a wheelbase of 111.4 inches. A six-hour road-trip test shows that the 6’s front seats are both comfortable and acceptable, but there is a noticeable lack of head and leg space. The most costly Signature model uses Nappa leather instead of the standard synthetic or genuine leather seen in lower-end variants.
38.7 inches of leg space is available in the 6’s rear seat. That’s great, but the low roofline reduces headroom, even though two adults of average size may still fit comfortably. There shouldn’t be a third person in the back who can complain because they’re all linked. In comparison to other large four-doors and even some compact sedans, the 6’s trunk has 14.7 cubic feet of room. Although the rear seats may be folded flat, the CX-5 offers more usable luggage capacity. Compared to many mid-size cars, the Mazda 6 Sport has a higher quality of materials and finish. To make it look like a high-end automobile at the Signature level, it has soft Nappa leather seats and sueded door panels.
Engine
The fundamental engine isn’t particularly fast. A 6-speed automatic transmits power to the front wheels via a 2.5-liter inline-4 rated at 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. Although the 6’s shapely body promises a lot of excitement, we’ve found it lacking, yet it’s perfectly suited to daily commutes, with a little more engine noise when it’s cranked out for highway passing. Mazda’s 2.5-liter turbo-4 with 227 horsepower is now available to some six drivers. The 6 silhouette offers a fast and enjoyable engine.
Acceleration is improved, but fuel efficiency suffers as a result of the large increases in power and torque. The 6’s superior handling goes nicely with the increased power. As a result of its stiff ride and simulated torque-vectoring, the 6, like a sports sedan, doesn’t cost as much as one. As the road gets messy, it doesn’t become brittle or lax, but it’s still responsive and composed.
2024 Mazda 6 Release Date and Price
Keyless entry, 17-inch alloys, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto are all standard features on the $25,270 six-door, which also comes with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty. Even if the $36,695 Mazda 6 Signature boasts Nappa leather and wireless Apple CarPlay, we’d go with the more affordable $27,870 Mazda 6 Touring because of its power driver’s seat and power sunroof.
