2024 Mazda 6 Electric, Engine, MPG – The crossover part has claimed another victim. Mazda may return with a new six sedan based on the Mazda Vision Coupe concept, but we’ll get to that soon. For the time being, we’ll concentrate on the 2024 Mazda 6, which can still be purchased. It has two 2.5-liter engines to choose from. A manifold is used in naturally aspirated cars, and an intercooler is used in turbocharged cars. The base engine puts out 187 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque, while the more potent model can reach up to 250 hp and 320 lb-ft on premium fuel.
A six-speed automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels of both vehicles. It’s hard to find fault with the 2024 Mazda 6, yet it doesn’t ride as well as automobiles like the Honda Accord. There’s also an all-wheel-drive version of the famous Toyota Camry, another well-known competitor. However, despite these minor flaws, the 6 Sedan is a delight to drive and, in my opinion, wears a more elegant suit than its rivals. When it leaves, it will be dearly missed.
2024 Mazda 6 Redesign
The Carbon Edition has been added to the roster. Polymetal Gray paint, black exterior trim, and black alloy wheels make it a high-end trim. A wireless version of Apple CarPlay is now available on higher-end trims, including the Touring model. Driver attentiveness alert and rear emergency braking are now included in the Signature trim level. This year will be your last chance to buy a Mazda 6-series sedan, which will be discontinued at the end of the year.
Interior
Originally, the center console was strewn with buttons and an integrated screen, but Mazda has modified the layout over the years. The screen has been moved to the upper portion of the dashboard. Inside, the cabin’s whole length is trimmed with a single piece of durable wood trim. The climate controls can be found hidden under the beautiful trim. In terms of visual appeal, everything is kept understated or understated. The 2024 Mazda 6 is one of the best midsize sedans on the market, if not the best. This vehicle makes up for what it lacks in interior capacity with an abundance of high-quality materials. A Mercedes-Benz or BMW would be proud to have this inside finish.
Engine
It’s a naturally aspirated engine that makes 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque in Sport and Touring trims. A turbocharger is thrown into the equation for the remainder of the models. When operating on premium petrol, the output is increased to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque, or 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft on standard unleaded. In all variants, the power is sent solely to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic gearbox. Even though eight-, nine-, and ten-speed transmissions are more common, a six-speed transmission is still useful.At 4,000 rpm, the normally aspirated four-cylinder can produce 186 lb-ft of torque, but that’s all it can do. Adding a turbocharger improves torque from 2,500 rpm to 320 lb-ft.
2024 Mazda 6 Release Date and Price
For the most part, Mazda doesn’t provide packages due to its vast range of vehicles and the fact that nearly all of its driver aid systems come standard. However, there are a few stand-alone choices. A rear lip spoiler costs $350, and an SD card navigation system costs $400. Adding $500 to the price of Mazda 6 models that don’t already come equipped with rear parking sensors is the only worthwhile upgrade.
